My oldest daughter loves the color purple and anything with polka dots so for her third birthday she wanted a purple polka dot party. It turned out so fun, I had to blog about it! She also loves tutus so I was planning on making her a purple polka dot tutu but she changed her mind and told me she wanted purple and green and yellow and lots of colors so I made her a very colorful (with some polka dots of course) scrappy tutu :)

She loves cake pops so we did polka dot cake pops instead of birthday cake

I love paper lanterns and tissue paper poms so for my daughter's first birthday party I had to find a way to incorporate them and create a new one of a kind Cheylyn Chic design. My theme for her party was Shabby Chic with white and pink, so when I saw this fabric I thought it fit perfectly. I paired it with a couple of white tissue paper poms and a small pink lantern and voila a beautiful decoration over my cake table, or so I thought until the weather decided to rear its cold, ugly head and make her birthday the coldest day in April! Oh well, it looked good anyway, just not above the cake.
