I love to bring dimension to a room so for my youngest daughter's nursery I was looking for a paper lantern or one of the tissue paper balls when I came upon another blogger who added flowers to a paper lantern. I decided to make my own and it turned out to be the most beautiful item in her nursery. To make it even more wonderful I added a light to it and it became a hanging light. I also wanted more of a cluster of lanterns that would tie in some of the patterns of her room and the lanterns with robbons and feathers accomplished that.
I loved my lanterns so much and received so many compliments that I decided to try creating more lanterns with a few of my other ideas. I love the flowers and decided to try a few variations using different kinds of flowers and ribbons.
My next inspiration came from a felt pillow design that was so unique and pretty that I wanted to try it out on a lantern. It turned out so beautiful and feminine that I contemplated keeping it and replacing one of my current lanterns!
The puff ball lantern has always been my favorite so I toyed with a few ideas of tule, fabric etc... and eventually landed on this pretty white puff that has such soft lines and would be a great accent to all the other lanterns.
