This was a special request lantern and I think it is my new favorite! I made the turquoise colored one (see the turquoise version here) first and then had a special order for an orange one (see the orange version here) but this pink one is by far the prettiest. I am so thrilled with how it turned out! And on a side note the pictures of this lantern are probably the best I've taken yet because of my beautiful snowball bush in the background with its fall leaves. I just love fall!!!

Flower paper lanterns are my favorite but also one of my hardest lanterns to make. However, it's totally worth it because the end result is stunning! This one is especially beautiful because it is layered with soft white flowers and just a hint of light pink in the center.

Hockey Sticks Paper Lanterns

I toyed around with several ideas for how to make a hockey lantern and this is what I came up with. A silhouette of hockey sticks and a hockey puck made out of felt. This lantern could also be done with white felt on a black lantern which I personally think would look best but this is what I had on hand to try out the first one. I <3 hockey!

I love black and light pink so I created this as part of my daughter's nursery and made it the low light lamp to use for the late night diaper changes. She loves her lanterns and has to tell them goodnight before I put her in bed every night.

Have you ever had a project or idea that you just can't picture in your mind? This was one of those for me. I just could not picture this looking good but after they were done the orange is really pretty! The paper butterflies and flowers had multiple shades of orange that looked so nice together when it was done. The felt had such a rich color to it that it almost seemed to change colors in different light and angles. These paired with the white lantern make the perfect orange accent to any room.

Chevron Stripes

Chevron Striped Paper Lantern

This Chevron stripe grey and blue paper lantern was my latest lantern creation inspired by a customer request and it turned out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself! It was paired with another grey and black striped lantern (see pics below). It has been much too long since my last post, so with the holidays behind us, I can now play catch up on my blog!

This crazy striped lantern was more of an experiment than anything. Some thing things look better in my head than in reality! I am still on the fence with this one but I think it goes nicely in this grouping. My husband was kind enough to tell me he didn't like it at all! (Gee thanks, don't hold back on account of my feelings or anything! :) Hmmmm we'll have to see if I get any interest in it at all, maybe it will go into the craft project gone wrong pile after all....

This tutu was made for a little Mizzou fan who wants to grow up and be a golden girl!  I made this around the Mizzou fabric and it was a bit of a struggle at first. Making the gold shades all match was harder than I expected but in the end I was really happy with how it turned out!

Denver Broncos Scrappy Tutu

It's finally football season and my hubby couldn't be happier, so to celebrate the game each week I made Denver Broncos Tutus for our girls. They turned out so cute! This is probably my favorite tutu so far. I found the best ribbon to go with it... one of the ribbons has little footballs all over it and another has "I <3 Football" all over it, they couldn't be more perfect! We love them and my girls love them! I am still trying to create a cute shirt to match so hopefully that will be coming soon, but for now, GO BRONCOS!!!

I LOVE tutus, so when I saw tutu wreaths on Pinterest, I just had to try one! In celebration of the fall season here is my orange and brown (with a hint of green) tulle tutu wreath. This wreath is constructed from an 8" Styrofoam ring with hand tied tulle strips embellished with fall berries and hand made tulle roses in brown, orange and green. Hope you all enjoy!!! Spiderman Goes Bowling

Spiderman Bowling Theme Tutu

This tutu is my latest special order for a Spiderman Bowling Tutu. I love special orders because they challenge me to get out of my comfort zone and try something fun. I can just imagine some cute little girl who loves Spiderman is having a bowling birthday party, and this tutu is the perfect way to customize the things they love and keep it girly, stylish and cute! This tutu has two different types of Spiderman fabric and two different types of bowling fabric. I then mixed in some fabrics that complimented both and finished it off with tulle and ribbon.
